Description: Brand name impressed within a rounded rectangular name plate.

Equipment: Stiff-mud, dry-press, hand-mold

Deposit: Ione clay pits, Amador County, and Lincoln, Placer County.

Comments: This brick was photograph in the kiln at the Lincoln plant, Placer County, where it could have been made. However, DIABLO brand fire brick were known to be made at the Pittsburg plant in Contra Costa County, CA.
